There is a warning from Bethesda that your textures may not run properly if you install to the hard drive.

You should play it just off the disc for now.

You can read more about this in the technical area specifically in the 360 section.

It's sticked at the top.

but if they put a patch for that, will it be worth it to install?

This issue still happens off disc, although not as extreme as install.

Yes. Xbox runs quieter plus it doesnt heat up extremely hot like playing off the disc so your xbox will survive for longer, personally it's better. Oh and loading times are reduced.

When I loaded the game for the first time on 11/11, there was a download. Maybe this helped because I installed the game and have not had any texture issues or serious bugs.

That update does not fix the texture bugs.

Just install the game on an USB stick and everything works fine!

is this a good work around? I read reports it doesn't help in some cases.

Installing to the Hard Drive only really makes a difference if the developers have designed it to.

If you have an older XBox your machine will probably run quieter but the newer 320GB models are pretty quiet.

"Halo 3" was designed to run optimally from the disc and actually ran worse if you installed it to the hard drive.

"Rage" is designed to be installed to your hard drive and looks stunning and runs faster when you do this and if you don't textures take longer to load and loading times are longer as well.

As mentioned above right now the game runs fine from disc.
