How Ironic

Post » Mon Feb 11, 2013 6:34 am

How Ironic. The Nords can't worship their own Gods, and fight the Imperials in a war because of it. Now I am doing the quest where you are thrown in jail, (don't want to give out spoilers) and now I see the Nords have done exactly the same thing.

The Nords will not let the Forsworn worship their own Gods. How Ironic is this? Here I was about to join the Nords for their nobel cause, but now, it's not so nobel is it? Now I am thinking of joining the Imperials, but still have bad taste in my mouth because they wanted to behead me. (This is not a wich side should I join, we have enough of those, this is to disccuss the irony about the situation.)

So what do you guys and girls think? How can the Nords refuse the people of the land to worship their Gods when the exact thing is happening to them?

Wouldn't this make Nords hyprocrits then?

Let's disscuss.

I don't think that's ever even discussed.

Good point.

Well, that might be the case. However, according to one of the Reachmen(the native Bretons of the Reach), the stablemaster in Markarth, their religion involved human sacrifices and communing with daedra. This being outlawed seems like a prudent thing to do. They also revere the Hagravens, who uses human sacrifices to become what they are(who in turn are willing to make some of them Briarhearts).

When it comes to daedric gods, religious freedom isn't the primary issue.
It's the fact that the daedric gods ask you to murder people.

Not all of them.

It's like how the Dunmer primarily worship three Daedra. Heck, one of them even has the realm of secret plots of murder and assassination.

The idea that the Daedric Princes are nothing more than evil demons is flawed.

A good point indeed.
And good luck preventing this from descending into a "you-know-what" thread!

I think that's because the forsworn's religion involve communing with hagravens, sacrificing children and other unpleasant things.
