How long does NewEgg Canada usually take?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:43 am

I'm about to order a new GPU, and CPU and I was wondering how long NewEgg Canada usually takes to deliver? I really wanna play this on PC but I can't wait like, six weeks for it to arrive. I'd have to play it on PS3, but the crappy thing about that is, when I finally do get to play it on PC, it'll just feel kinda late and most of the magic would be taken away since I've already played it. So, yeah. Any idea, guys?

Just a guess, but I'd say no more than 5 or 6 days. They've got about 4 warehouses here in the States and I've received some items the next day when I order first thing in the morning. It depends more on the shipping company than anything. If you're really anxious, you can spend extra for overnight or two day.

That'll be the deciding factor. Being a Canadian New Egg user, i've waited on average about 3 weeks for things to arrive. From stuff like a power supply, RAM, graphics cards, and a lap top.

I believe UPS is the regular shipper.

Depends on where you live and where the items ship from. If what you ordered ships from California (it's happened twice to me) it could take over a week, almost two if you're unlucky. Newegg itself is usually very, very good at processing orders and having them out the door, so to speak. If you order during a business day, it'll usually be transferred to whoever's shipping (I'd go with Purolator, bad experiences with UPS. Took two weeks for them to get stuff from Toronto to Northern Ontario. That's ridiculous.) by the next day. If you live close to Toronto there's a good chance you'll get what you ordered within a few days, or maybe a bit longer since we're pretty much on a weekend now.

I'm sure distance is a factor but I've ordered controllers, GPU's, etc. from both TigerDirect and Newegg Canada, both ship from the GTA (one Mississauga, the other Richmond Hill or Vaughan or somewhere around there), I received it in 2-3 business days with standard shipping.

Edit: And interesting mix of FFVIII and FFIX names. :P

Normal shipping I can't recall waiting much more than a week (if it even went past a week... I always remember it being surprisingly fast)

Well, not to necrobump or anything, but my first package just arrived.

I ordered on Friday, and it is now Tuesday. So that was really fast. And I don't think my mail guy goes around on weekends, so I'm not including those. I'm hoping my second package gets here tomorrow. Looks like I might actually be able to play Skyrim on release day. But I also have to take it to the shop and get it put together, so I don't know how long they're gonna take. Hopefully no more than a few days.

Also, WOW! I did NOT expect the GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II to be this massive. Holy cow. Oh, and, it came with a free Batman coupon!

By the way, I just used the cheapest Purolator shipping they had, so that just goes to show that faster shipping is pretty much a big waste of money.

Assembling a computer shouldn't take very long. I don't know long store people take, but it took me much, much less than a day to build the last computer I built.

Yeah. The better half of video cards tend to be big. That was my reaction when I got my GTX 470.

Not necessarily. Depends on where it ships from.

Yeah, I guess. I've just had bad experiences with " better " shipping before.

One Canadian business week.

To calculate this, subtract the number of miles you are from Quebec and divide that number by the speed of a Mountie. Usually about 200 miles/day.

Should have used the expedited sled dog option. :P

I don't think that would have ever fit in my full ATX tower, ugh. My 8800GTS barely did. Confusing why Nvidia allowed so many cards (often made by other manufacturers) to be so grandiose in size.
