Post » Sat Aug 04, 2012 8:50 am

so I used my main email to sign up for some random offers to get NX for a game i play

and all the junk ends up in my inbox and some of it ends up in the junk folder

how do i make everything that is junk end up in the junk folder even before i receive it

(so i dont have to go through 4 pages of junk manually moving them to the junk folder just to see if i have any new emails)

Get a new email account and this time don't be so lax about keeping it secure.

Just keep marking the stuff you don't want as "junk" or "spam" (depends on your email provider) and they will eventually be automatically sent to the junk folder.

With Gmail I just send something to the spam folder, and then all future emails from that address go directly into the spam folder.

When I use my yahoo account, I use my filters to send unwanted email straight to the trash, which then gets dumped immediately. You can also block email from certain addresses you don't want to receive mail from. Pretty handy for when you get loads of spam from some... less than reputable websites...eerm... :whistling: I think I'll be going now. :bolt:

EDIT: Just saw you use hotmail. Place the sender on your blocked senders list if you don't want email from them.

Hotmail has a similar set up to GMail, so just mark the unwanted stuff as "Junk". It will still keep coming but you won't get to see it in your in-box.

Mark it with the little tick. Select the "Move To" box, and choose "Junk".

Edit: A http://oi46.tinypic.com/28tar1d.jpg incase you still don't get it.
