Let me preface this by stating that for skyrim i use some mainstream mods, like the 4k textures and faces, ect, but it do remember the game looked a bit sad without those mods.
Oblivion, however, had an interesting art style, and i can see it a lot more in ESO than i can skyrim, as skyrim had more jagged edges, cool environment, and massive views. Oblivion, however, seemed to put more emphasis in the architecture, while lacking the natural (organic) charm of skyrim.
Now on to the topic... If you have yet to upgrade your GPU, go ahead and do so. Based on the images and videos i have seen, there is a severe lack of higher texture resolution http://images.mmorpg.com/images/screenshots/062012/inline/25437.jpg

So the screenshots above display some familiar environments like those seen in oblivion, the boat, and the ruins. Both clearly show a sever lack of texture filtering and AA. So how can this be fixed? Well nvdia users, its time to get familiar with something called the Nvdia Control Panel. For those running high end GPU's these environments should look twice as good with tweaks like FXAA, 32xAA, and 16x AF, and if you really have a beast of a GPU, go for the 8x super-sample, its always a pleasure of mine to go into newer games and boost their appearances with these settings, and its why PC is, in fact, the master race.
Thoughts?
