So after all of these threads about the PS3, I was wondering how many of us actually have PS3's. Obviously most of us are PC players, but PS3 seems to be the console of choice here. I'm not trying to start a console war thread so if we could be civil in our opinion of the PS3 that would be nice.

Yup... Not really happy with any console this gen though.

I do but I haven't been playing it very much. Mostly playing Oblivion on Xbox 360.

On my second, Fat one YLOD'd a few months back.

Wasn't overly impressed with the fat one; very noisy and hot, but it was backwards compatible with PS2 games.

I miss that with the slim, I may be able to hear the sound and long gaming sessions don't have to be conducted in the nvde, but I had just bought a couple of PS2 games before the YLOD, now I need to fix the disc read errors on my old PS2.

I have a PS3. It's my Blue ray player. I play most of my games on the 360. If I buy a TES game, or Fallout game, it's for the 360. I guess the only games I play on the PS3 is PS3 only games. When I fianlly get Final Fantasy XIII, it will be for the 360. I just like the controller better so use that as my main gaming platform.

The 360 is my DVD player, PS3 is blueray player and to listen to music thats about it.

I only have a 360. I had all three of the last-gen consoles, so I was hoping that I could get all three of these. It didn't work out that way. I do not regret buying the 360 over the PS3, but I still wish that I had one for the great exclusives such as Little Big Planet and Heavy Rain.

I bought a slim PS3 last summer. I like it a lot, now that it's at a reasonable price.

I have a PS3 Slim. I'm happy with it. It works great, has a good selection of games, online is fine, etc. See my signature for my PSN tag.

One thing I found funny is that the PS3 slim is no longer shiny. The 360 slim is. Did they decide to go after each others Shiny Vs. Dull demographic?

Yup, have one. Been playing Dead Space 2 and using it as a DVD-player lately

I've noticed that playing videos and playing games on my PC at the same time tends to cause minor performance issues

My friend gave me his fat, third hand one the other day, but minus a controller so I haven't been able to play it yet. I already have a 360 so I'll probably just get a few of the exclusives I want (Uncharted series, Heavy Rain, LBP series, InFamous)

I suppose so. :laugh: I rather like a flat finish. Shiny is just terrible in most cases.

I hate shiny. I dust the Ps3 one minute then I turn around and it looks the exact same :banghead:

I have the old 80GB model, it's the one that looks like a Photon Torpedo and hard to keep dust clean. I've only had a couple of issues with it but other then that it's been the greatest unit I ever had.

I have a Blu-Ray player on my PC and only LBP/LBP 2, Ratchet and Clank series interest me for PS3's games.

I'm the type to prefer and like watching movies (DVD/Blu-Ray) on the PC.

Hehe, I have a slim now. I had the old 60GB first gen one, but it YLOD, trapping Fallout 3 in it on the second day of having the disc. I still think the slim looks hideous. I miss not having PS2 compatibility any more, I still like to play GTA SA.

Agreed, the removal of the PS2 BC was a really poor choice IMO.

Well, I didn't an hour ago when I first read this thread. Since then I went to look and see what was up as far as deals at Future Shop. Turns out the http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/playstation-3-playstation-3-320gb-with-uncharted-2-modnation-racers-alice-in-wonderland-and-blu-ray-remote-98417/10153157.aspx?path=b66306c2316c678f809af821737f51bden02 was on for the same price ($299.99, ends today.) as just the PS3 +remote. Seeing this is about the last time I'll have the opportunity to spend money this freely for some time I took the opportunity to get the best bang for my buck.

I wanted one for some time for the Blu-Ray player, and PS3 exclusives but I was buying PC parts instead up til now. (Again, money becoming an issue after this month so I wanted to get the expensive/important stuff out of the way before it's too late.)

I have one but I haven't played any games on it in a year and a half. I sometimes download tv shows through the Playstation store but mostly it just sits there staring at me.

I recently bought Demon Souls so maybe I'll get around to playing it sometime before the next console generation.

Uncharted is the best game on the platform. I cannot wait for the next one..
