How many houses have you built on your character?

Do you guys typically just build one, then say that's it or do you build more?

I have the Lakeview house, but am getting tired of the location.

Then one more thing. How many houses do you guys have in total? Not just in Hearthfire, but in all of Skyrim

One character has everything and still wants more. And I built those Hearthfire houses five times for him so was determined to try to get the best possible.
One character has all the player homes, never bothered with the faction stuff other than Dawnguard, and never liked the Fort anyway.
One character has Breezehome and Lakeview and will probably acquire another at some point.
One character on the PS3 is just starting out on her quest to be a land baron, she also has Breezehome and Lakeview, and is saving up her gold and iron for the rest.

Two of my four characters are home decorators, and never settle in one spot anyway, every house they own is their home. Any new characters will probably just want a house to hang up their spare set of armor.

When I first got Hearthfire, my current character build all three and fully furnished them. She also had ALL the houses you could buy.

My second character build only one, Lakeview and left it as a hut. She only owned Breezehome and Hjerim.

My current character fully built Lakeview and likely that will be all as well. Lakeview is just an easy one to get. She ownes Honeyside, Breezehome, Proudspire but lives in Breezehome with Aela and their daughters Sofia and Lucia. When she gets Hjerim she will move there more then likely.

This is my first character playing the PC version. I've got every city home, and built all three Hearthfire houses. I've done neither the Dawnguard not the Dragonborn DLC content yet, though I have them downloaded. When I played previously on Xbox, I acquired only Breezehome and Honeyside, and resided almost exclusively at Breezehome. Due to my play style at the time, homes and decorating took a distant third place to exploring and quest completion.

I think I went hog-wild building and furnishing all the houses simply because I can, and because Hearthfire makes it interesting. Subsequent characters I create will probably not be as interested in such a zealous accumulation of real estate, but I will still enjoy decorating the homes I do acquire.
