ARRRGHHH

My xbox is not connected to the internet. To do so, I have to bring everything downstairs to where the modem is and it is a huge pain. As far as I can tell, I cannot check my points balance unless I am in the marketplace, but I cannot get into the marketplace without going online. Is there an easier way to see how many points I have? I may just have enough left over.
