How many of you got all werewolf perks in one shifting?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 2:20 pm

Pretty much what the title says. How many of you pretty much just sat down, wolfed out and just ran free for the 2 hours or so needed to get all 11 perk points? Normally I like to do things in smaller doses as I hate grinding but for some reason I found myself absolutely loving running all over the place from one ruin/camp/fort to the next just tearing through people. It took me roughly 20 minutes to unlock savage feeding as I turned doing the first quest you get right after you get beast form which by itself unlocked 2 perk points and gave me a solid 10-15 minutes worth of time added to my beast form.

From there I just roamed Skyrim eating goat, wolves, elk/deer and foxes. It was tremendous fun and I did not even really plan it. It just sorta happened that after a while I realized "Holy crap, I've maxed out my wolf!"

Anyone else? :P

I did today. I wiped my 100+ hour guy started new, then got them all in one shift, took forever. By the time I was done, I had to wait 24 hours to shift back into a human.

As soon as you get savage feeding leveling it all up was a breeze.

I think you're in the wrong forum  . To the OP, how many kills do you think were required to fulfill the skill tree? Also, have you tried Vampire Lord? If so, how does it stack up against the werewolf form?

11 perks are needed for both. Vampire lord is great if you have heavy investment in magic (destruction I assume), but is a pain otherwise.

It's not really, destruction isn't relevant as the VL uses blood magic.

You don't need any investment in magic, with only 100 magicka you would have 250 magicka in VL firm (350 with the ring). As a warrior you'd probably have high health (+150 in VL form) so the VL form will be nigh impossible to kill.

In one game night I'd filled it out. Many of us in the wolf circles have taken and beaten the challenge of getting all the perks in under one night on Master without changing once.

Seems like I'm using my beast blood more often than I am walking around as a Khajiit.

i did...loaded a save just before i did DG the first time...went to Aela, got turned to a wolfy again an went on a in game week, well 6 days 5 nights, of going from whiterun to solitude to morthal to dawnstar to winterhold to windhelm an every settlement fort or cavern inbetween eating my way through everything till i hit all perks for achie...i actually would not mind playing a werewolf now..its fun and challenging, instead of every fight being a pain. Had to wait 2 days for the effects to wear off... love the savage feeding perk. Now a new character can live in the woods an feed off the wild life :)

Yeah, managed to stay in werewolf form for 49 hours (in game hours. IRL it was around an hour and a half). Took forever to change back.

Well overall it took me around 2 and a half hours, to be honest the last half hour was mostly just running in random directions looking for prey. I'm not at home right now to check but I think it was something like 150-180 hearts consumed to get all 11 perk points.

My main went the VL path and I think the number was a similar though the last 2-3 levels seemed to take forever.

To be honest both are relatively easy to level as you could just shift out, fast travel to the next camp/fort/cave and have at it since VL has unlimited shifts and the wolf does as well with the ring of hircine.

As for how the werewolf stacks up to the VL I'd say the wolf has more raw power and feels overall much more visceral while the VL feels more adaptable thanks to the fact it can fight ranged. It really falls down to taste.

I prefer the VL as I feel more comfortable with the playstyle though the werewolf also feels incredibly satisfying to use. Mostly I am just happy that both feel viable at high levels now even on master :)

I did it in one shot.

Rampaged from Windhelm, then to Riften, and ended up in Whiterun. Killed anything that even so much as twitched in the countryside in between each destination as well. Just under an hour of gore-ridden fun and it was done. :D

Wait, the ring of hircine give UNLIMITED shifts? I thought it only gave one extra? Oh and for the topic I also got it in 1 change.

Turned, slaughtered 2 and a half cities and got it. Markarth to Solitude and small settlements in between. For vampire lord, I did Whiterun to Riften.

Well, I was unaware of the change. Makes me want to fire up with my "main" toon and check out the werewolf again. This throws a kink into things

Yes. The ring provides one extra shift *every time* you equip it. You can pretty much play a Werewolf like the VL in terms of shifting power. Just equip the ring, shift, and to shift out just hit the wait button for an hour.

When you come out of it just re-equip your gear. When you put the ring back on you are good to go with another shift any time you want.

I did
I did 3 whole laps around the entire map in 5 days, killed 120+ NPC's, ate countless animals and giants, killed 7 or 8 dragons( 2 of which were legendary ) and I still had to wait 3 whole days to change back into an Orc.

Head over to Falkreath and visit the Graveyard, talk to the mourning couple and you should be well on your way, you'll get started on a quest that gives you 2 possible rewards. The ring is one of them, if you want more specific details look up "ill met by moonlight" on UESP.net for fuil details ;)

I am still holding back my Orc so I'm not using wolfy much. My imperial though just kills everything as a vampire lord.
