I completed the quest chain in riften, at least i think. ( the 2 ghosts are happily ever after dead )

how do i marry someone? I have an amulet of mara.

you have to go to the riften chapel of mara to find out how to get married. theres a male priest there who will explain it to you.

Pretty much there are a few people in each town who you can actually marry. Those who you can will prompt you with 'are you intesrested in me?' Or somthing of the sort. But you must be wearing the amulet of mara when you speak to them. Either hunt for them ingame or just look up who's available on the wiki.

i have the amulet of mara on and i want to marry ysolda, i already gave her the mammoth tusk. i have a quest for 20 pamphlets of mara. do i need to complete this first?

while there is list 4 people to marry i havent found list 4 people who will start shop if married my wife doesn't stay home neither should my skyrim wife lol

No, I'm fairly sure you dont need to complete the temple quests of mara before you can marry.

some wont marry you til you have done certain quests

Yes, if they have a quest to give you, the vast majority (if not all) will require you to do their quest before even recognizing that you're looking to marry.

I think it is stupid how many of them are nords. it is understandable but ther are no khajiits or bosmer and only one male argonian

Also, somebody really needs to release walkthroughs for how to marry each of the NPCs in the game, because I cannot figure how to even trigger any of the favor quests for the NPCs that require you to complete one. Is it something based on your character's level, do you have to complete certain quests or a certain number of quests in the hold of the NPC, or is the option of marrying these NPCs determined entirely by the Radiant Story system? I certainly can't figure it out, and there is nothing on the internet that is remotely helpful in regards to how these quests get triggered. Very annoying.

Oh, and I know for a fact that at least one of the Argonian options requires you to be high level, since I believe
