How much does the Legion restrict you if you're female?

For my next character, I'll be siding with the Legion... as a female character. Yes I know it makes no sense considering that the Legion treats all women as slaves - but I'm justifying it by saying Benny's bullet to her forehead drove her insane and so she's cooked up some wacky justification for it (she wants to become one of their priestesses). My real motive is that I want to experience first hand just how the Legion treats women - even one that's helping them out.

Anyhow... I heard if you're a female playing for the Legion, you won't get to fight in their arena - is that true? How about any of their other side-quests besides the main one ("Render Unto Caesar")? I don't want to spend this long on another playthrough only to find out I'm barred from half the quests anyway.

I can confirm that you are not allowed to fight in the arena as a female. Past that, I got tired of them insulting my in-game gender and proceeded to mow them down. . .

Well, Caesar does apreciate the Couriers ability regardless of gender, so you can justify being a female Legion supporter with that, i suppose  My mercenry tank would be such a character, she goes where the money is and doesn't give a mole rat's ass about her employers ideology. (Though just between you and me, her basemant is missing a few nightkins :whisper:)

A female Courier fighting for the Legion is either so arrogant or delusional she really thinks she can manage her relationship with the Legion and stay free......or perverse to the nth degree and intent on satisfying some sort of masochistic urge by offering herself up as a slave to whichever of them wants to take her. I think at some point Caesar would tell Inculta to quietly take her behind the woodshed and put a bullet in her head.....making sure this time...as she is too dangerous to keep around even if she gets off on being someone's property.

I don't think there's any restrictions besides the arena, but there really aren't any good reasons for a female character to support the Legion besides yours or Tiberius67's reasons.

I made an old fugly guy as my second character for the express purpose of being a Legion supporter. A female would have to be bat[censored] crazy to run with them. I let my initial (female) character work for Caesar insofar as it made no real difference in the outcome of the final battle, but even that, to me, was only worthwhile under the idea that she'd be making his boys squirm.

A female character helping the Legion would get sold as a slave in the end, or nailed to a cross. The legion is just not capable of dealing with such an advanced idea as a woman with power.

Doubtful Caesar isn't stupid. Even if you did every little quest to disrupt the legions plans before heading into the tops to confront Benny. Caesar still offers safe passage To the Fort and a pardon.t Why? because he knows your extremely powerful and in his own words when you set your mind to something it gets done. He wouldn't foolishly throw away such a valuable asset.

Women aren't allowed to be legionnaires and the women of conquered territories and certainly incorporated tribes may be enslaved. But not every woman they meet gets the slave collar put on them. There is actually a female-only caste of priestesses who maintain the cult of Caesar among the slaves and members of the Legion and also take the children of slaves to be raised on Caesar's doctrine.

And really who would want a slave fully capable of taking down an army who probably has the technical skill to remove the slave collar at any given time. From a historical sense, If Joan of Arc could become a military leader in 15th century France. A woman could become a military leader in the Legion.
