How much has been spoiled?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:01 pm

I have come across many spoilers the last couple of days and while I think to myself " Man it would have been nice to be completely surpirsed " I realize that I have still only seen a small portion of the world. ( from about the Riverwood area to Whiterun) I have steered clear of Main quest Spoilers to give myself that much at least.

Positive "spoiler": MQ about 20 hours, depending on how slow/fast you play.

I remember Todd saying Skyrim's so big it was impossible for some of the developers know everything there's about the game. I believe we're just scratching the surface.

I play fairly slow because I like to take in the scenery and wont fast travel at all. I also wont save too often, such as before lockpick attempt ect. to keep it natural feeling

Nothing has been spoiled for me at all - it is a totally different experience looking at a picture of a giant gooey cake to actually eating one. Someone could post all the information in the world here and it would not affect how I feel hearing the snow benath my feet or being able to walk around a cave myself.

There have been huge reveals like Vampires and necromancy and spoilers like Werewolves and the Companions but there is still SO MUCH we know nothing about and SO MUCH speculation.

I've had the Companion revelation spoilt for me, and since then I've been much more careful about which topics I go into. It's not a guild I'm particularly interested in, but it is one I will play through eventually, and that scene would have been so much better if I had no prior knowledge of it.
