How much stamina for 2-H characters?

Post » Wed Nov 14, 2012 8:27 pm

I only have 150 stamina atm (lvl20) should I dump more into it or go for enchants with stamina?
I can only do like 2-3 power attacks in a fight before it is empty, mostly just 2 because I need stamina for sprint to get out of melee range to heal at times (Playing on expert)

How much stamina do you usually upgrade for the base value when playing power attack dependant characters?

It depends on you and how you play. When I played my two 2-Handed warrior characters I didn't put a single point into Stamina on either one of them. I never felt they needed it. But you might. It all depends how often you intend to do power attacks.

And "how do you play" if you chose to take a lot of stamina or health vice versa?

Also depents on your weapon.

Stamina used = 2 * (20 + weapon weight) - 25%*
* only with the perk "Champion's Stance"

Nord Hero Greatsword (16) = 54 used stamina
Dragonbone Warhammer (33) = 79,5 used stamina

I usually put tons of points into stamina, my current character has 310 stamina and 180 health. Not only is it useful for power attacks it can also aid you in evading and parrying enemy attacks as well. It's also nice to be able to sprint into battle really quickly and still have stamina to spare for power attacks. I find Stamina more important than health for Two-handed Barbarian light armor characters who's primary goal it to inflict MASSIVE amounts of damage.

If your doing about 200 - 250 damage with your two handed weapon, I would recommend 200 stamina.

If you like to sprint towards your enemies, then more stamina, but you could just use the whirlwind sprint shout and that is even better than sprinting.

If you make enough vegetable soup, you don't need much extra stamina. I don't like how you get so dependent on it but it's definitely an alternative.
