How often do vendors restock? caps? : Fallout: New Vegas

Im playing a char with lots of barter, wantto sell stuff and get lots of caps, how often do vendors restock?
What is the best way of earning caps?

IIRC, they restock every week, in game time. Not all merchants do. To my knowledge, the merchants I personally know of that reliably restock are the Gun Runners, the Arms Merchant at the 188 (The female one), the drugs 'doctor' in NoVac. Also, I've seen the guy in the Crimson Caravan have new merchandise, but that's VERY rare that it does. Sarah Weintraub of Vault 21 does too.

Actually, it's every three days.

There's also another way to restock them by saving your game near them, exiting the game, then going back in and reloading the save. This can be used on any vendor that is tagged to have their inventory respawn. However, some may consider this an exploit so it's up to you whether or not you want to use this method.
