How is patch 1.7 treating you?

Post » Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:02 am

Ever since I downloaded 1.7 I have been turning invisible randomly during fights. I have a glitch as well where I have two copies of Drain vitality, which I was certain would be fixed with this patch, but no dice. Other than that, I haven't noticed much improvement. Yes, I did read the patch notes and I'm aware that not a whole lot was in this patch, but I still can't help but wonder when things will actually get better. I am going to shelve Skyrim for a few months and see what happens when I come back. I will try to use the forums to see what is going on.

I am curious to know though, how is the current patch treating you? I haven't seen anyone else reporting the problem I'm having, so I'm wondering if it is specific to my save or if it is a general bug. I still have the desire to play Skyrim, even after having put in a solid 200+ hours, but I am just tired of fighting little stupid bugs. Hopefully the next couple patches will turn things around.

On PC, along with Dawnguard, very good. The performance seems to have increased as well, I get much smoother framerates in previously problematic areas now.

I don't see a difference, but then again I never really had too many issues - knock on wood.

it's not PS3 player here, I hope you get it fixed though. Nothing more annoying than stupid little glitches

Patch 1.7 is quite a good patch, I previously got some slight stuttering in areas like the Rift, which is fixed now. Otherwise, the game runs just as smoothly as ever (the key is to configure the game graphics properly and not use too many conflicting mods, so I get a solid 60fps everywhere now). A good patch is one which doesn't break anything and improves the game, and patch 1.7 is one of them :)

My game seems darker for some reason...I'm on the normal light setting and I'm having trouble seeing anything in dungeons and even in the predawn morning hours.

Did you install realistic lighting with customization or an enb or any other enviroment weather modifying mod?

It hasn't done anything at all - its not out on PS3 here yet ;) I'm looking forward to it though.
