I signed up for BETA ages ago and never heard a thing.

When do I get to play?

Spring 2014 is the date. With a chance you'll be able to play earlier.

ZeniMax Online hasn't released a schedule for beta events. But if you've submitted your beta app, you have the same chances as anyone else to get in. I imagine that the beta events will ramp up soon (I hope) and that there will be an open beta closer to launch.

Signing up for beta doesn't guarantee you that you get to play the game earlier. You just put your name into a pool and you will be randomly selected to have a chance to TEST the game (that's the keyword, because betas are there for you to help test the game not early play it).

I love how everyday people come on here and wonder where their beta invite is lol. Even worse is when the beta becomes open you always have the people who come to the forum and complain about the problems instead of be an actual beta tester and report the problems and fill out tickets, duh its not a demo.

Personally, with that attitude I truly hope they don't waste a beta invite on the OP. Betas are for playtesting, ironing out bugs, finding glitches, stressing the limits of their servers, etc etc.

Betas are not an early demo of the game.

People do take Betas lightly. For that matter... any of you guys Skyrim testers? THE HELL WERE YOU DOING...

This. It truly is disappointing when 75% of the people who get into a game beta just want to play the game early and complain about stuff when it doesn't work. Of course it isn't going to work, it's a BETA and you TEST stuff in a beta, it's not an early demo.

I blame all these early access games that you see on Steam. It's ruining the kids now-a-days. They think everything is done, even though it's not even out yet.

Well, blame the publishers and developers. They have conditioned those players to be that way with how they represent themselves.

Nothing personal to the OP but I just hope a competent and dedicated beta tester gets his place instead. Especially a few of you guys/gals. I know many of you would test the crap out of the game.

Most betas in MMO's now are bought via a pre-order, TESO is one of the first MMO's I have followed in a long time that has not done this with special pre-order of the game for a key to beta. This gives me hope that it will not be a bad game, and that they are really doing a real and very proper beta test just as it should be.

I would love to get into beta but I can wait till the day of release as well, if I did get into beta I wouldn't be playing the factions or races I will when the game is released because I wouldn't want to spoil the content. Plus I would be testing something in the Dominion or Covenant rather than the Ebonheart.

If any of you do get lucky to be in beta have a notepad and pen ready to write down the bugs you find and then post them in the beta forums. If a certain feature is lacking explain why and where, not just a post saying "it svcks".

I was mostly kidding and would be honoured to find and report bugs. I know there's just a chance. I actually thought the beta was happening already though, when I looked at some of the topics in the forum. Seemed like many were talking as if they were playing the game already.

Every weekend, they select number of players to play beta for that weekend. IF you are invited, you can play game on THAT weekend and thats all, you wont be allowed to play next weekend. They havent sent beta invitations for this weekend so there probably aint gonna be beta this weekend
