I usually drag em away and dump them in the sea/river. Ash-piles are the REAL problem(still).

I have noticed the same issue. When I took over Sunshine Tidings Co-op, three ghouls were killed inside separate buildings. I have completely furnished the entire settlement and it has been overover a month (game time). All three remain where they died. One is actually levitating just inside the door. I assumed they would go away after a certain amount of timetime, but no joy.

Just figured out I could move them......... Cool! Playing on the Xbox One, walk up to it, hold A, and walk outside to where ever. That drags him! Learn something new every day!

I think if you have the cannibal perk you should be able to "scrap" dead bodies inside settlement boundaries. You could get some strange meat and bones or something.

disable or markfordelete in console. Beware though, certain corpses (mostly the ones placed to it's place on purpose) are respawning loot after a while. A prime example for that is the dead Mongrel and Drifter in front of the bridge of Sanctuary.

Funny, I remember reading how some players assumed the holes at the house where Preston's band move in will be fixed due to the tireless efforts of the inhabitants. Back to the topic, such corpses should indeed disappear after some time.

My Sunshine co-cop ghoul corpses are persistant. I drag them off to the bushes and after I leave the settlement for a time and return there they are back where they died again. On the positive side the settlers don't seem to mind rotting corpses in their living room.

The only thing that's tireless about that mess of a group is Marci being a bipolar [censored], Jun Long being depressed, Mama Murphy talking about how she killed a Death Jaw with a pipe pistol and one bullet, and Preston, as usual, having info about a settlement that needs help.

got just the same issue, in pretty much all of my settlements (other than the 2 bodies at sanctuary, which aren't within the actual settlement)

all bodies reoccur, no matter if i drag them away, drop them into the sea, burn them, shoot them into pieces, disable or markfordelete them, it just spawns new ones next time i get there. which definitely is not good. eet can bee unsanitary to andle zee deeseezed :-)

So ... basically everything? I know this feeling. I can't even recall when and where I've met a more unsympathetic group than Perimeter Preston and the Expendables. Same goes for Minutemen as a faction, Preston successfully poisoned that one too.

If I had to choose between being in a room with Preston, or Nazeem from Skyrim, I'd go with Nazeem.

You could at least kill Nazeem.

Oh the hammering. The endless hammering. That house was originally where I set up shop, I had to move to redrocket to live by myself, away from those lunatics.

I'd be getting my gear ready for a mission or supply run and . . . BANGBANGBANGBANG! I usually play with headphones on. I was like "can you PLEASE stop with the [censored] hammering. Please!" *shudders*

Just to play devils advocate I like the sanctuary refugees (with the exception of Mama Murphey who's constant jonesing for drugs got annoying.) She makes a hell of a farmer though.

i already was like "u serious with that hat?" when i first met him, but the point where he finally blew it was when he insisted on calling me general...

to that, i basically don't think any "the people for the people" militia approach could ever work out, simply because most people except me basically are selfish, ruthless insane loonies and would shoot eachother about whos interests to actually defend now too fast to even make it to "the secondmen".... :-)

if you are on PC you can use the following console commands. in console command menu right click the offending objects and type "markfordelete" then "disable".

Yeah, i saw your comment after my post. I had them reappear once and I just performed the commands again, while clicking on the corpses a bunch before and after to make certain. after that initial respawning and reissue of the console commands I have not seen the wasteland mongrel and dead raider out side of sanctuary again. although the blood some times is there but goes away again.

That is all I have to offer, I've seen some other people having issues with the corpses respawning as well.

Someone with Bloody Mess needs to shoot the corpses with a automatic weapon. That worked in 3. If that fixes it is really a matter of personal taste.

Hopefully a patch will clear this mess up. I too have tried the markfordelete disable thing and the dead ghouls still come back.

Until you build her the chair, after which she'll be glued to it 24/7. No work, no sleep, no socializing around the bar. I guess Bethesda thought her life-changing advices would be much less mysterious in the middle of the cornfield at 4 AM.

Fun fact: I couldn't finish a quest he gave me as I rejected his offer before and now his recruitment dialogue cannot be bypassed unless I accept it. Preston is a forced and char and and the Minutemen is probably the game's biggest missed chance.

Same here. I really like that place but I've turned off the recruitment signal and given up on it because the damn ghouls just won go away or stay away after i dumped them in the river.

I also have one minuteman dead at the castle but what I did there was place a bed next to the clinic stall and I pretend he's in a comma, lol.

This isn't something for mods to fix. It should have been fixed already.

Sure. You can sraf the bodies away but I still don't understand why they don't just disappear after a day or two.

My 2nd playthrough will start with a big loop around that town. Or maybe I'll put a cap in him up on that balcony when I first see him. I'll definitely be cheering for the Raiders.
