How do I remove the Stolen Flag : V

From the Glass Bow of the Stag Prince? I've tried fencing it, nothing. I've tried having my follower looting it from a chest, picking it off the floor, also nothing.

there's a trick with a barrel in dragonsreach, you put stolen item in, have follower take it out and it's no longer marked as stolen. Also I think you can fence it to the woman in the thieves guild and buy it back clean

The only method I know of is fencing. If that doesn't work, you might want to try the barrel in dragonsreach that Haggar suggested. Sounds promising.

Cool story:

I somehow gained a stolen tag on my axe of whiterun. I placed it on a plaque some time ago and decided to take it down. Teldryn Sero was with me at the time and yelled at me for taking it down. He then took it away from me and i never saw it again.

Do you have to have a follower take the item from the barrel? I've been there a few times and never was able to clear an item. But I was taking them out myself. Aela is my follower, and she is not Adan of anything stolen....

It only works if you let your follower take it out...
