How to remove the universal glow from my dungeon ?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:36 pm

Hi,I'm building a dungeon and I want to edit its lighting now.
I've noticed that for some reason my dungeon is lit up even without me having added any light sources at all, like there is a mysterious universal glow in it.
How can I disable this universal glow,so the only lighting in it comes from light sources I placed myself ?
Is there a way I can make the only light in my dungeon be the light from light sources I've hand-placed myself ? So there is no "universal dungeon glow",so I can design parts that are pitch black,to force the player to use torches and other lighting-specific items to see ?

I too darken rooms so the natural light sources are mostly the only light sources. In cell view right click your interior cell and choose edit. In the lighting tab I darken the ambient color source then go to directional ambient lighting tab and click- set from ambient. If you don't do that last part it will show in ck but not in-game. There is also templates to play with.

Set a lighting template for your dungeon, or better yet, make one of your own. You can set it in your cell options.

Oh, and don't set any values to 0, 0 ,0. You will end up with the dungeon totally blacking out in some situations, even with light spells/abilities on.
