[PC version] how do i rotatezoom items in the inventory?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 7:39 am

I want to be able to rotate items and zoom in while looking at them in the inventory. How do I do this in the PC version? I've pressed all the buttons on my keyboard and mouse but I still can't rotate/zoom any items! :(

Man, PC version is so bugged!

Maybe I should join the console revolution because BF3, Skyrim, etc. are all prioritizing consoles...

Or maybe you should give it time, its only been one day. Wow. These complainers are WORSE than the complainers on the league of legends forums and I thought that was impossible!

If you read some other posts in this forum, you'll notice quite a few complaints - and what's interesting is that all of them are from PC owners. This game seems to be made for box-playing, and ported poorly to the PC. I have not seen any *box users complain about anything - well, maybe the footprints in the snow lol, but I'd rather have a stable UI.

Giving it time isn't going to mysteriously make all these problems go away.

 Other than some UI issues the game is running fine for me.

Well, yeah - I expect some bugs. But for basic things like "hey, the mouse doesn't work in menus for alot of people".... you have to wonder how that got through QC.

It's the price we pay for having the ability to control our hardware choices, programs, mods etc., I'm afraid. A PC gives you a lot of freedom, but you have to be able to work with the issues that comes with that. A console is more plug-and-play, but you're at the mercy of the developers and you have no freedom to mess around with anything. It's a choice you make, and although these issues seems rather annoying at first (I haven't actually played Skyrim yet), they will be solved in a pretty short time I'm sure, as always.

ok just select the item in your inventory, move your mouse cursor to the picture of the item, click and hold and rotate as u like. or with your mouse cursor on the item, use the mouse scroll wheel to see it in full screen. hope that helped. ive had no issues with this at all

You just need to mouse over the object and mouse wheel to zoom, and then you just hold the left button and move your mouse

Think your posts through before tossing comments like this out there for the entire world to see. Skyrim has been "officially" gold for a while now, and "unofficially" gold for well longer than that. Unlike the PC users in this forum, the developers had access to the PC version prior to today and should be well aware of how it plays on that system by now.

Half the problem here is Bethesda, and the other half of the problem are the fan-boys on this forum. Despite repeated buggy releases in this series you put the developers on a pedestal and defend them on every little point. The reviewers are giving them 10 out 10 scores while in the same breath discussing the number of bugs they ran into during their limited play-through of the game. It's ridiculous. You don't give 10 out of 10 scores for that. What you do, instead, is lower the score and state the buggy launch in the list of reasons of why the score is lowered, which in turn hopefully encourages the developers to improve their release the next time around.

Why do people expect Bethesda to give a flying fig about improving the quality of their releases with each game when no matter how buggy it is they're still getting awarded top scores by reviewers and fans? You all create your own nightmare scenario and then force the rest of us who expect better to suffer along with you while making a host of excuses the whole time. Stop encouraging these games to be mediocre.

Just tried this and I still can't move/rotate/zoom in on any item! I think I'll just wait for a patch... :(

Agreed, for some people it's just broken. Me included. I can zoom in with the c-key (after tying out every key), but it's a static image.
