How to: Set AI Package Target to use an Alias?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:52 am

I've been reading through posts after post and Googling with no luck... is it possible to set the target in an AI Package to a quest Alias? It seems so basic but when I bring up the Package Target dialog, I can fill the target with Self, Linked Reference, Specific Reference and Any Object, but the Ref Alias is greyed out. (I tried setting the Specific Reference Cell to Any and then lookiing for the alias, but it's not there.)

I'm trying to create a FleeFrom Package but the target is dynamic, depends on the combat target. (This is actually on a follower so he should flee from the Players combat target.)

Thanks for any help, I hope it's really easy and I've just been looking at the CK too long.

Did you set the "Owner Quest" of the package to the quest that contains the alias?

Nope... and that did it!!

Thanks! I really was hoping it was something simple like that. I've been looking at the AI Package so long without ever needing those options, I didn't even see them anymore.
