How to stop cows flying?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 9:30 pm

Hi, I'm needing help.

I can't stop cows flying. Almost literally. I saw one being picked up by a butterfly. Honestly. A butterfly. It dropped the cow on a tree. When you kill them, they fly away into the air.

Can't figure it out. They have the same weight as the other animals, similar mass in their race data.

So, why do they fly away? any ideas?

So I guess no one knows why Skyrim cows are filled with Helium? Or how to remove it from them?

What the hell is that? XD

And I've seen giants hit bandits and make them fly STRAIGHT up. They are up there for a good long time before crashing back down to their death.

I had a noble on horse back fly around me for a while once. He was being escorted by an Imperial and we were both standing there watching this guy go flying up in the air, loop around and then come crashing down again, only to bounce and take off again. I took a whole bunch of screenshots, but I don't have a video of it, unfortunately. It was really funny - especially watching the Imperial guard watch this guy flying around.

I would've expected a question like how do I make cows fly, but not how to stop them flying :)

As for the butterflies, yeah they are quite strong aren't they. They tend to push stuff around. I remember jumping off a rock and landing on one, and it was able to keep me aloft for a few seconds.

Well, this one picked up the cow, and deposited it on top of a tree.

My bigger gripe is that when I hit one, it flies away into the air, like it was some sort of helium filled novelty. Lord only knows that would happen if a giant whacked one....

These sort of things happened in Oblivion, Fallout 3 & New Vegas all the time for me. It's no surprise to me to see them in Skyrim too since it's an updated version of the same engine.

I feel left out. I haven't seen any flying cows yet. I have seen a cow die instantly by a cooking pot though. it was my fault. i was playing my mod and I used Celerity and collided with a pot near a camp fire. It flew across the garden and struck the cow, killing it. Same thing happened at the Sleeping Giant Inn and the bartender got hit. He tried to kill me.

I stay far away from cooking pots now.

Yeah, even the player takes damage from being hit by a flying ribcage.
