hi guys.

i've been playing the game for a long time but still never managed to understand how much more damage do power attacks do compared to normal attacks.
these attacks are helpful for staggering enemies and do extra damage but i can't seem to understand how much more damage exactly and if there is any advantage to forward power attacks compared to side power attacks to standing power attack in terms of STRENGTH.
there is a perk that makes standing power attacks do mroe damage but if i dont know how much damage it does compared to the other power attacks or compared to the normal attacks than that perk is completely unclear.

any info on this?

Im guessing power attacks does 50% more damage. It seems about right considering how much damage I do with my 2-H normal vs power attacks. I believe critical hits does 50% damage? Though not sure.

I can say that 2-H Greatsword with crit perk + power attack, when the power attack crits - sends their dead body flying.

From my own observations, it seem that melee power attacks without perks do 2x normal damage.

According to uespwiki, they all do twice the damage, no matter what direction you do them to.

Power attacks doTwice the displayed damage of your weapon when playing on Adept difficulty. When playing on Master, a Power attack inflicts the displayed damage of your weapon.

Critical hits provide an insultingly small bonus. The max is around 16 damage.

When you take the perk "Devastating Blow" or it's equivalent, your Standing Power Attack deals 2.5x your displayed weapon damage on Adept.

this is so weird that the easiest attack to hit with, the standing one, is also the best one. it should be the EXACT opposite.

are there any PC mods that mod the strength of power attacks? i couldnt find any.

2x damage seems about right, based on what I've seen, concerning changes to the enemy's damage bar.
