How do I tell if my character is diseased?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 4:23 pm

Ok now I know that NPCs tell you that you look ill if you have a disease, but is there any other way to know if you have a disease. I can't find anything on any of the menus, apart from the times I've contracted a disease in the statistics. It would also be nice to know which disease my character has.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm really enjoying the game btw!

On Xbox it's the start button, then right trigger.... It should be listed with your stats for kills, weapons, quests. At least it should be.

Ehm...

Going to Magic > Active Effects or something like that, I believe.

Magic> active effects.

The game does a bad job of making you feel diseased. I picked up a stamina reducing disease at the start of the game and played for 3 hours before npc's telling me I looked sick reminded me to get a cure disease potion.

Hope I notice any vampirism so I can cure that [censored].

The on-screen icons that have been in Oblivion, Morrowind and Daggerfall (can't recall if Arena had them), were too difficult and cumbersome, so they put the information on a character screen out of sight. Clever move. No need to see how virtually every UI mod for your other games simplifies the UI while giving more access to information on the main screen.

Ok thanks for the replies. I have been playing the game without using any magic so that's why I couldn't find it ;)
