How the Earth Made Us

Has anyone watched this documetary? It was on yesterday and was surprisingly interesting. If you didn't like that we are descended from apes, take it further and we are descended from rodents, metabolic reptiles and even bacteria. It also tells us how we possibly developed reactions to certain situations, visuals and sounds. Like seeing faces in out environement and why we hate the sound of screeching nails on a chalkboard.

Many of you may have known the basic geneic history already but the program was interesting for me at least. Even though I already knew a good deal about it.

So what are your thoughts on it?

Yeah well this one is kind of logically a given; if we didn't drop out of the sky neither did apes. Technically it means all life is descended from the first life that formed on Earth (or came here). I recently was astounded to learn we share a large amount of our DNA (sorry I don't remember the exact percentage but it was over 50% IIRC) with a banana.

I'm a banana and I am offended by that statement.

Not seen this or heard of this, shown in America I presume?
