What the topic says

As close to "non-existent" as you can go...

It's a console port... So you have 2 options.

Wait for "modders"... This what Beth banks on, saves them money and time.

Or buy the Xbox360 version which they wish you did in the first place.

The game runs well, the UI is not well ported, you need to use the keyboard to navigate the menus well.

Slightly annoying issues, but nothing game breaking.

The games runs well

UI is so console centric you'll smack your gob

After you rebind everything it'll be playable, but only just.

Well, my computer is about 3 years old now, and it's running nice and smooth on high graphics.

It loads nice and fast too. I'd say the optimisation is pretty good.

Its alot better than there last two games. Finally a map and journal key, and using the WASD keys to navigate the inventory like the d-pad is a fantastic idea.

Though the lack of number hotkeys is just bizarre.

Bethesda wouldn't be Bethesda without 2 steps forward 1 step backwards

I have heard nothing complaining about PC optimization, so I really wouldn't take the suggestions of the minority on that.

Fantastic? Not the word I'd use. There are MANY much faster and easier ways for pc users to do simple tasks like change spells. Hotbars for example. Little profile keys like: #1 = flamethrower/flamethrower, #2 = sword+shield, etc. Much faster than a dpad.

Lol, going by the reponses on this forum, I bet there'll be a "morrowind UI" mod in the future

The mouse issue is a confirmed bug no? Not everyone is having problems clicking things right?

I thought it was 100% obvious that the UI on PC will blow mudcrabs. As is typical, PC users are given the CK and are expected to fend for themselves.

That.

But overall there haven't been complaints about the game RUNNING, just iffy things like UI, which we saw from months ago :D I say the outlook looks pretty good.

The game runs REALLY well, I'm surprised. I thought I would only be able to play on low-medium but I can play it on high and my computer is quite old. I'm so happy! ^_^

For me it's horrible.

In the world a single 6970 struggles to keep it above 40 fps

Enabling crossfire makes performance worse.

One of the biggest releases of the year, I hope AMD sorts this out fast.

Runs like a charm here on ultra (1920x1080), i5 760, 4gig ram and GTX460 SLI (without the Nvidia beta profiles). The interface is 100% tailored to consoles, but works rather ok outside of the skill menu, which needs the keyboard to control and is rather clunky.

Will have to run an FPS test, but just completed the intro and walked around the world a little, entered one town, and did not even stutter once. Shadows seem a bit weird quite often, but I can live with that.

Maybe this will help you learn about the optimization:

HD 4670 1GB
E7200 CPU
3 GB RAM
Vista

And the game runs perfectly fine so far. The optimization is fine...

The GUI is about 10x worse than Oblivion's, if that's even possible.

Even on console this can't be easy to use. It's missing basic things like sorting by weight and being able to see if a weapon is 2-handed or not.

Truly terrible.

I only game on PC, and I find this kind of whining useless. Almost every ounce of feedback from PC players thus far has been positive.

Go to the PC subsection... You won't find even 10% of threads as "positive".

All reasonable complaints about how badly "ported" this "console port" of a game was done.

I like the Morrowind UI, it was like windows, you could resize stuff and best of all it was fast, no delay, press a button and it there. And there was a hot key for journal and map. You could even equip stuff right from looting a body, it was Beth best pc UI, though it still had issue, like Alchemy was terrible and like Windows it should have an an option for a list view as well as grid view.

Agreed, the Morrowind UI was better than Oblivion's and much better than Skyrim's.
