Acoustic spaces are generally for changes how 3D sounds are played within then. For example. A 'cave acoustic' would make a gunshot (heard from a gun firing like 20ft away from you) loud and echoey. While something more like a 'hotel room acoustic' would make it sound much more muffled. So it immitates the area your in, making sounds a bit more realistic.
I think you could make your own music type (like 01NoMusic) and make a 5 second long sound file thats silent. Then just make the music type that file, so it plays the silent 'music' constantly and theres no noise.
