How to turn off object glow?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 8:07 am

I have turned off everything but the crosshair, but objects still get highlighted when I look in their direction.
Does anyone know how to turn this off?

Apparently I'm not the only one with this problem, nor is it limited to the PC version. The highest rated Amazon.co.uk review for the Xbox 360 version of Dishonored has this to say:
I found the only real complaint I have with this game; the context-glow (or focus-glow, if you will) of items still exists whether you turn it off or not. That's a bug, which I hope will be fixed because it does detract from the immersion. Not massively so, however. Just enough to recall that you're playing a game, and are not totally part of the world.

Best regards

The option does turn off the golden glow on interactable objects like doors, levers, etc. However loot items still glow white. So most likely this is not a bug but behaving as designed.
But not as expected by players. Anyone who turns this off won't be aware of the subtle distinction made by the designers and likely just wants all object/focus glow to go away.
An alternative would an additional option to turn off loot glint as well. And maybe some kind of explanation what each of the options are supposed to do.

Currently we don't have an option to turn off loot glint. If that ever changes, we'll let everyone know.
