That's a good question. Although I'm not concerned about it, I can see how it's relevant. In the meantime the only suggestion I'd be able to offer is using a headset. Then again, you'll want to know what the kiddies are doing too, so not sure if that helps as a temporary solution.

No one really bothers to patch swearing in games due to everyone just lives with it or immediately bashes on the people that don't want it.

If you dig in the files hard enough, you might be able to find the sound file that has swearing, and replace it with something less sweary.

Although as for other players, if its chat, hope for a filter soon. if its voice chat, then you have no choice :(

You turn the dialog audio setting down to 0.

Next time you want to play a game in the presence of children, read the ESRB rating, this is the game you payed good money for.

Not sure what you mean by your comment but perhaps you don't understand. Children aren't animals that you can put on a leash. They open closed doors, they get up after they got to sleep and they have inquisitive minds when they hear things. Unfortunately, I can't rent an apartment just to house my computer for playing games. An option to turn off swearing seems like a much more prudent and logical way to deal with offensive language.

Turning down the dialog audio to 0 sounds like a great option. I'll try it when I get home. Thanks~

And this is why humans invented earphones.
Headphones and earphones are perfect for games with swearing and can even produce better quality sound than some leading brands of sound systems.

Even still, the expletive-spouting auto-taunts are more than annoying anyway. Even I would be interested in turning them off (or reducing their frequency). As it is, it seems all the stuff is put into packages, so.. it's going to be pretty difficult to rip 'em open and change anything.
