In TES there are many different kinds of vampire clans based on their different bloodlines.
Cyrodiil vampires burn in sunlight but can disguise themselves as mortals when fed. The Volkihar of Skyrim have the same ability but only get weaker in the sun rather than take damage, and of course can become vampire lords.
In Morrowind the Aundae, Quarra, and Berene clans couldn't hide their true nature and still took sun damage, making questing extremely difficult.
There are nine different clans in the Illiac bay region and several more throughout the rest of Tamriel. My question is how will they incorporate these bloodlines into the game? will we only be able to join a certain clan no matter what faction we choose? Will we only be able to choose clans within our territory? How will they incorporate sun damage into a game where daytime lasts several hours and you cant just "wait". Lore wise only the clan in Cyrodiil can disguise themselves due to a pact with Clavicus Vile but we also saw firsthand that the Volkihar possess that ability as well but how will this work for clans that cant do this?
Im curious as to how they can accomplish a good vampire experience in an MMO game without breaking the diverse lore. I really hope they allow us to choose from any of the clans already established in the game and maybe a few more. Perhaps they will compensate for some of the clans by giving them an amulet that allows you to resist sun damage or a ring that raises your disposition with people to allow questing to continue.
Let me know what you guys think and if there has been any information released on vampires yet besides the fact that you can be one and they have a skill tree.
