How would I go about for a NCR-Pro main quest? *Spoilers*

Post » Tue Nov 30, 2010 12:58 am

I made a ranger character, who has gotten pretty far. He has good terms with the NCR, and now it is finally time to do something with the Platinum Chip. After having Benny run away to the CL Fort, I have the option to destroy the bunker or to not destroy it. Which option would benefit the NCR? I have looked on the Wiki, and it has nothing relevant to my question(s) that I've found.

For example, I was going to save the bunker, then kill Mr. House, and I was thinking that there might be an option to give control to the NCR. Is this possible?

In the long run, I want to make the NCR prosper, not it's enemies. I was hoping to get rid of Mr. House, so that would maybe help the NCR. I just need to know if these things are possible.

Another thing I've noticed; while doing the House Always Wins quests, there is no options that are relevant to NCR, (as in it doesn't even mention the NCR).

------

This is probably hard to understand, thanks to my excellent terrible writing skills. Thanks to those who answer my questions, and for understanding this jumble of words. ;)

Working for the NCR will end up putting you into direct conflict with House (conversely, working for House will run parallel to the NCR though you will act against them a couple times). As far as the bunker at the Fort, you may as well destroy it, because all upgrading it will do is make things harder when you go to kill House off, since there is no way to pass control to the NCR.
