I have the riverwood manor with the cellar and main hall. i build 2 single beds and a dresser and two cubbords. i can meet orphans on the street but when i goto adopt them i get the option that i dont have enough room for them...but ive built all the damn beds and containers.
any ideas?

also im already thane of falkreath but i still have a message to go talk to the jarl. but when i goto talk to him i have no options and the damn thing wont go away.

The Dark brotherhood is irrelevant to your problem. Either there's something you haven't built, or your game is bugged.
