How do you plan on playing your class?

Post » Thu Jan 31, 2013 12:43 pm

Since you can basically choose however you want to play your class/character.

What are you going to be?

1. Weapon's?

2. Armor type?

3. Play style?

I for one am going to be a Heavy armor Nord with bow and arrow for ranged and when they get close smash them with my 2 handed axe. :)

I don't even know what classes there are.

but for what I do know I think this:

Mage.
Sword/shield. (I don't even know what types of weapons there are).
Heavy.
I think healer.

Will we be able to quickly switch with weapons, like in GuildWars 2? this could be pretty handy.

Also will we be able to create different builds for our character and then switch between those?

I would assume you could switch weapon's, like the single player games,

Probably a light armoured, sneaky healer. Not sure on weapon type yet, depends whichever offers the best stat perks really.

But than you first have to open the menu and whatnot and select it. I meant a hotkey that instantly switches to a different weapon you have selected.

Light armour, dual swords stealther mixes potions and poisons to give the edge in combat. If possible some magic thrown in.

I want to be a Necromancer. I love the idea of a Necromancy playstyle, even if it's only been in the few online games. However for all I know it's outlawed in TESO. Given the choice though, and given that it's a little viable. I'm thinking about some Bonemold or Ebony Armour, As well as a matching hood/mask and a staff. My play style shall be as evil as possible. In Skyrim some people may have collected books. I on the other hand collected a large array of corpses which eventually made a very large corpse pile in my Riften basemant...They were quite handy, plus they did spruce up the joint.

1. Weapon's?
We only have restricted information sofar i will use a sword and shield.

2. Armor type?
Heavy or mid armor type, never played any of the TES games i hope there is somethink like a chain armor.

3. Play style?
Support/Heal or Meele Mage with nice AoE for the open world PvP, head into the fight and stay there :D

I hope there will be some Class/Skill/Armor/Weapon infos in the next few weeks i love metagaming.

I'm pretty sure in Skyrim you could just press a button and it would switch weapon's for you.........But it's been forever since I have played that game so I may be wrong...

Originally was going to play a dual wielding Dragon-knight, but i'll probably play a sword and shield (shields are not something i ussually use), and try not to use magic as much as i can, and i haven't decided on light or heavy armour yet

Definitely going for an archer type class.

Armor type: this depends on what bonuses / negative effects each type of armor gives. I would assume light armor for stealth.

Play style - high dps stealthy archer. If I don't have to sacrifice archery dps to be able to use daggers somewhat efficiently, I will probably wield daggers as well.

From what I've gathered, as far as switching between builds - you really won't have different builds you switch between, but instead a large pool of skills in which you can choose 6 of at any given time - as long as you're out of combat.

I have been debating on stealth or not for my character, I'm hoping stealth won't be OP like in some Mmorpg.

But can I save my self-made builds and switch between them quickly? Like I make a healer build as my main and maybe a tank/dps build as secondary.

I suspect you will have to delve quite far into the sneak/ stealth tree to have a stealth as effective as what you get in other MMOs.

Think about it, a Orc or Nord in a Heavy Armor with a two-hand-sword using stealth, well that sounds bad.
