How do you save?

How do you guys save your characters? Personally, I make sure I have a good number of hard saves for each character, because I've deleted the odd 50-hour character by accident when giving each character only one save. Also, I save a lot, say every 5 minutes, and I have a strange OCD that forces me to delete every Autosave that appears immediately.

I sure wish Beth would bother to change the Skyrim saving system, and let us toggle between our characters, rather than having (in my case) hundreds upon hundreds of saves for seperate ones, all mixed together in a seemingly endless list, which I do not have the time or willpower to edit, because I tend to accidentally click New Save when I intend to overwrite.

I keep all of my saves intact for my three main character that I us, and on the other ones I only have a single save file.

I overwrite my last saved file every time I save....probably not ideal for backtracking, and I have regretted it occasionally. But I dislike having multiple saved files covering days that I have no intention of going back to. I figure if I made a decision to do something, I need to find a way to make it work. Ain't no re-dos in life...unfortunately :)
