How do you tell races apart?

How the heck do you tell NPC races apart? I honestly can't tell the difference between Nords, Bretons, and Imperials. In Oblivion, you could tell them apart from their voices, but this is much harder in Skyrim with the more varied voiceactors.

Well, Bretons usually have rounder chubbier faces, but the main difference between Imperials and Nords lore-wise would be their height and hair colour. In this game the player-character is always a standard height, so player-developed Imperials and Nords can be very difficult to tell apart at times; not that it matters, they're basically just white humans from different areas.

I was wondering the same thing. I actually think it's very cool that race isn't blatantly evident any more. Well, with some exceptions. :)

Thanks for the reply dude. This really helps. Anyone else have any ideas?

The accents to me seem very noticeable. Imperials seem to have a more refined accent while the Nords have a more Arnold Schwarzeneeger accent. Then again, that's just me.

Accent is pretty noticeable. Also Nords have... well Nordic names. Imperials have Roman names and Bretons have French.

Only part of the race has those accents though. There's more than one voice actor per race this time.

This would probably be your best bet to tell them apart.

Lol nice. Never known that. Maybe because I've been watching videos of the game since I don't have it.

Imperials tend to have leaner faces. I'm still trying to figure it out too, but names have worked best for me so far.

I kill them and see what kind of loot they have. Nords usually have a woodcutting axe, imperials a sword, and bretons fire salts and cheese.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! Seems much easier to tell them apart now!
