How do you think we will enter the dark brotherhood?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 8:46 am

It's been confirmed long ago that the DB is in the game so i was wondering how we would get accepted into the faction, will it be like in oblivion where you just kill someone for no reason or will it be something else?

Probably like it was done in Oblivion. I do think that the quests will be more involved in this game

The dark brotherhood again? I mean, in MW they were a faction larger than the Morag Tong and somehow they are dismantled in 2 headquarters, then they are little more than rogues in OB, with the only Morag Tong to speak of in Sundercliff, and if we don't see a little more spice in Skyrim I might have to check the box.

Entry into the brotherhood is always the same road. A deed to prove your desires and a task to prove your ability.
It is the only way.

From what I understand its really awesome how you enter the Brotherhood. I cannot remember where I read it but I am pretty sure it was Gameinformer, they did say they did not want to spoil an epic opening or something like that.

You fill out an application and mail in your essay.

Just make sure you do it soon, I hear they offer early acceptance.

Well, considering several preview articles dropped the ball and spoiled the entire quest chain leading to you joining the Dark Brotherhood, I'm dumbfounded some people still don't know.

It's slightly ridiculous to think they can track murders when they live in caves and ruins.

It's slightly ridiculous to think that the brotherhood doesn't have a network of contacts like the lore tells you. They don't just hang around in caves and ruins all day. According to in game books, the Dark Brotherhood has many sanctuaries throughout Tamriel, and they have connections all the way up to some of the rulers of Tamriel's main cities. They practically had the count of Cheydinhal in their back pockets. Some of the members even have additional tasks outside of assassination, such as spying and scouting. One of Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood members had that very task, which is why you would see that member traveling from city to city, dressed as a normal citizen.

Don't underestimate the scope of Sithis' far-reaching influence. The Thieves' Guild is not the only massive guild with a complex underground information network.

But between political factions, debauched thieving, and mercenary raids / murders, what's to tell an assassin from the bunch?

Well, you get copy of the Dark Brotherhood magazine, and then fill out one of those information cards and mail it in! You should hear back from them within 4-6 weeks. :lmao:

This is how it goes(I have been watching my cousin write a review and play the game for a few days now.)

Spoiler
You hear rumors about a little boy who wishes to join the Dark Brotherhood and you go to his house to which you see a dead body with candles all around it.

The Is sitting on the ground praying for the Brotherhood to come. He mistakes you for an assassin and wishes for you to kill the Matron of the Orphanage.

You kill her and go asleep. A vampire trapped in a little girls body is standing over you asking why you stole the Brotherhoods kill.

The way to pay back is by assassinating someone else and join the Brotherhood.

Also more SPOILERS:

You can summon the ghost of Lucien Lachance
Shadowmere is back.

I believe, but could be wrong, that in fact in Cyrodil they have multiple headquarters, only the Cheydinhal one is portrayed in game.

Dark Brotherhood Magazine is a rag. Morag Tong Monthly is where all of the real, honest murder-based reporting happens.

Huh! I'll have to check that out! Any subscription bonuses? Free poisoned dagger with an annual subscription, or something?
