How do you worship your godgoddess?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 11:04 am

I cannot practice my characters normal religion because I cannot summon a goddamned ancestor guardian anymore...no one to talk to except flames...I aaaam...soooo aloooone...with noooo one heeeeere... besiiiiiides meeee!!!

I do hate Sheogorath with a passion though. He did send that rock tumbling into morrowind...

Eh.. The Dunmer kinda had it coming. They shouldn't have kept Argonians and Khajiits as Slaves.

Are you kidding me??? They deserved it totally. It won't end there though. We Altmer will exterminate them once and for all! Slaver scum!
LOL KIDDING! I ain't like that. But seriously, I don't like Dunmer. That whole slavery thing isn't cool.

I really don’t get why they changed that, you would think the Dunmer would have a whole lot more people to summon now. There are also those cool blue ghosts now some of which are Dunmer. They wouldn’t need to add anything that isn’t already there you just need a summon option.

I worship the Prince of Plots through my victories in battle. Through blade, bow or spell I prove my worth by besting my foes. All glory to Boethiah, for I am but dust in His eyes.

EDIT: Woo! 400 posts. Now I have a star. :bunny:

Whenever I'm in the area, I'm sure to stop by and spend some time meditating at Azura's shrine whilst thinking on Morrowind. Aranea and myself dedicate all of our acts to her, and we turn to her before making difficult decisions.

Does wearing Nightingale armor/Savior's Hide while wielding the Wabbajack/Sanguine Rose/Mace of Molag Bal/Dawnbreaker/Ebony Blade count as anything?

My bosmer worships Peryite.
He is always brewing new diseses that he will happily release on world of Tamriel.
His plagues are works of art in his mind and people of Solitude are his chosen bearers for his many rotting blessings.
He never baths, eats little or sometimes skips meals.Despite what he does, he considers Tamriel dirty place that can only be cleansed by his art.

Well, I have the corpse of at least one follower of each religion in my basemant; if that counts.

I prefer not to worship them, they all just cause.. Drama.

lol

I have to ask this: how do you get the corpse back to your basemant? There's got to be a quicker way than the 'E' key and slowly walking back with a body floating in front of you.

By creating poisons and order I worship Peryite.
By creating Fear and Distrust among my enemies I worship Vaermina.
By executing hordes of Draugr I worship Meridia.
By slaying my betraying my followers I worship Mephala.

I think Distrust would be more of a Mephala thing. Vaermina is more into Memories, Dreams, and Nightmares. Fear would count as a Memory type of thing, I guess. Distrust might count as a Memory but it'll be more for Mephala since Betraying and Distrust can easily connect to one another.

I never play pagins

There are no pagans on Nirn.
Its a bit impossible in a world where on the one hand gods are manifestly real and influence the day-to-day lives of people and where on the other hand the process of mythopoesis ensures that what people believe actually becomes real.

My Altmer does not worship any Aedra, he does not like them very much.
He used to follow Azura for a while, until he found out what a manipulative and disagreeable deity that was.
Now he has entered a pact with Meridia, not worship, more as a relationship between two that can help each other.
Not entirely unlike Umaril.

Any undead that by his actions no longer walks Skyrim is as praise unto Meridia, so he mostly acknowledges her by banishing draugr, vampires etc.
And restored her temple, of course.

My spellsword also worships Dibella. He adorns his Markarth bedroom with Dibellan statues, and is married to Senna/Priestess of Dibella.
As an agent of Dibella, he has access to the inner sanctum of the sanctuary, and will suggest they move back to her place several times per week.
This allows him to walk with her back to the chapel so she can continue to pray on her behalf. He thinks she is very sixy when she prays.

My Ashlander worships Azura, Boethiah, Mephala, Nerevar, and her ancestors.

She bathes at dawn and dusk, challenges herself to ritual combat at times (usually walking into a city and starting a fight, or fighting creatures with vastly inferior weaponry), and uses her alchemical craft to brew poisons. Worshipping Nerevar is easily done by offerings to Azura. She believes that one of the spirits of her ancestors is trapped as a bee inside a jar, and consults with in on occasion before making difficult decisions.

It's not very helpful.

To murder by no design I worship Sithis.
To eat a man or mer or beast I worship Namira & the Bosmeri God, Y'ffre.
To love my wife and remain faithful I worship Mara.
To stalk my prey in darkness I worship Nocturnal.

Being raised by Shadowscales, I let the Hist guide me.

After I kill an animal I use "heal other" to give thanks for the animal that gave it's life so that I may consume it's flesh.

Never take more than I need from the land, I worship Y'ffre.

Hail Sithis.

My Nord retains his Conanesque attitude towards the Gods. He respects them, sometimes pray to them, but all in all they ain't a lot of help when he's being pummeled by a dragon, so why hand them any of my good swords or other valuables in return for nothing.
