So hows aboot you get on with some patches already?

So im about 175 hours in. Level 71. Somewhere along the line I guess I got hit in the head or something because it looks as if my character is looking through milky eyes. Now this wouldn't be a big deal if it would go away, which it will not. Walking around the institute is like looking directly at the sun. The game is almost unplayable and there hasn't been a patch since November. Never mind the fact that it lags on the lowest settings. I simply don't understand how I can run ESO without so much as a skipped frame, but Fallout 4... I feel as if this game would be better played inside a toaster, inside a burning trailer, while I stand on my head and use chopsticks to manipulate the controller.

Going back and losing days worth of progress is not an option. This is the kind of game breaking .... that gets games a place at the bottom of my stack, where it will never see the light of day again.

So... Are there any suggestions on how to get around this? Is there a debug mode? How do I make it so I can travel the wasteland without it looking like I'm viewing it through a broken whiskey bottle?

There were a couple of major holidays between the last patch and now. Bethesda employees like to take some time off too I'd imagine. We're due for another patch sometime soon.

Bethesda games have bugs though. Why would you lose days of progress? Have you just been playing with this issue present for that long?

When I first noticed it, I just assumed it was a status effect. It became readily apparent once I entered the institute and couldn't see anything but a fluorescent light hell on the eyes.

Upload your save to Google Drive, OneDrive or Drop Box and PM me the link.

Also you cannot compare FO4 to ESO, there is no comparison. ;)

Post a dxdiag report, please.

Use the Search box or Run... box, type: cmd and press Enter.

In the command prompt, type:

dxdiag /t dxdiag.txt

and press Enter.

Now go to the %userprofile% directory (C:\User\), find the dxdiag.txt file. Open the file. Select All. Copy and Paste its contents here in a reply. Use the spoiler tags, by either using the following:

[spoiler] dxdiag text [/spoiler]

or by clicking the icon (Special BBCode) next to Font menu, and selecting 'spoiler'.
