Hunt of the Night Stalkers

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:58 am

Now, I'm sure many of you have seen the topic in the Skyrim General Discussion forum called "A Call to the Wolfpack", which was mainly about werewolfs, discussing hunting tactics, which totems were best, etc. For us 360 owners that own dawnguard, tomorrow will make it one month since we have gained the power (and downsides) of the vampire lord. We need to develop tactics for hunting are prey, such as where to hunt, what spells to use against what enemies, etc. There has not been a direct topic on this yet, and I believe we need one if we want to use are true power as Volkihar vampires. Also, if you have to post spoilers, please warn others that there is a spoiler, so as not to ruin the experience of dawnguard for others.

Ironic enough? We're Dawnguard.

Just kidding, though. The thread name just reminded me of that.

Ever since DG you don't have to feed anymore so it is a RP thing.

Well, being a vampire in Skyrim and in the media, is a life of luxury so if you did want to feed, you could walk 5 feet to the right in Castle Volkihar, walk down 10 steps, drink blood in under 15 seconds and walk back up. There really is no hunting in Skyrim for vamps.

I wish when you use vampire charm( don't remember if thats what its called) you could tell people to follow you. And when you are out of the line of sight you could feed. But with an option to feed until the person died, would be a cool DB assassin way of killing. And the spell would have to work on much higher lvl npcs.

Well, I hunt by steaming in, letting fly with drain balls, and launching prey through the air with vampiric grip. You can often track my progress through a forest by the bandits and wildlife which have been flung up into the trees. :D

As a few in this post have said you can just feed at castle Volkihar, or easier yet just mass up some potions of blood and instant feed wherever you are. But if you want to do things on the more violent, i dont care path ( and it can be fun.. ) Fly in as a vampire lord, drop down to melee mode, and just power attack every worthless NPC in sight you'll get the feeding animation on at least 50% of them, Guards to. I also think it would be cool if they added a kill cam for vampires using unarmed combat were you feed in the kill cam.
