One of the few things I thought were a lot of fun in FFXIV were hunting logs – basically there are certain types of monsters that you have find and kill to get extra EXP. If you complete an entire log you get a bonus. It was awesome because it made you explore new areas while tracking down beasties. ESO could take that a step further with a Hunters Guild:
Basically the Hunters Guild you give you a Hunting Log to track down and kill rare (or non-rare) monsters. The Hunters Guild could have its own skill tree with tracking and hunting skills. From the monsters you could also get trophies that you could use as decorations in your house. It could be things like “kill the Lenea lion that rumors say lives in the Skarr forest of Morrowind” (I am making things up now). Those mobs could also be hard to catch and track. It would be awesome to venture forth to unexplored areas in search of pray. NPCs could also comment on your achievements: “You are the one that killed the Lenea lion! You must either be very skilled or very crazy!”.
It is also very easy to implement – the world already exists, mobs already exist, its basically all there. Just name a few mobs (maybe even give them increased speed, life and attack power) and create a building and some NPCs for the Hunters Guild as well as a skill tree. I believe a single person could probably program the whole thing in a week or two.
