Hypothetical: Dovahkiin vs Nerevarine vs CoC

Post » Mon Jun 17, 2013 1:01 am

...really? From the lore angle ldb and nereravrine are not equal to the people they reincarnated. Ldb is probably the strongest dragonborn who ever walked the earth, hjaliti doesn't count because of the whole divinity thing (your rules).

Nerevarine is just some dude who won't get sick, and refuses to age. Other than that he is on par with the coc. Also he didn't achieve chim, thats a meta concept that you had to have someone explain to you in the lore forum (if you're like me)

Conquering Tamriel is not required. The enantiomorph elements - Rebel, Witness, King - are present in the LDB's story not once but twice.

Incorrect. THAT already happened the very moment he slew Alduin. I'm not talking about just mantling Lorkhan. I'm talking about actual godhood.

CoC: Guys?

*CoC puts on Gray Cowl*

LDB + Nerevarine : "Wait, who's that??? Where's CoC??"

CoC: "Nobody. Go ahead, I'll sit back and watch. CoC? You mean, that pansy who ran away a few seconds ago?"

*LDB + Nerevarine battles it out like there's no tomorrow*

CoC: *Moves near the winner* "Well hello there Champ! How you feeling? Here, let me ease up your neck"

Winner: "Never better! Thank you, I needed that. Oooh yeah, now that's some ACK" *neck broken*

Villagers: "MURDER! MURDER!"

CoC: *removes cowl* "What? Murder? Where??? THE CRIMINAL SCUM!!!!"

i mean anyone who says otherwise is just making this into a popularity contest, and its fine to have popularity contests...but it should be in a thread called "favorite protagonist"

Also you forgot the 1x...its really important lol

But the thing is, those elements are basically in every game except Daggerfall

Jagar Tharn the rebel
Emperor Uriel Septim VII the king
The eternal champion the witness

Dagoth Ur the rebel
Vivec the King
Nerevarine the Witness

Mankar Camoran the rebel
Martin Septim the king
CoC the witness

I'm not arguing that there isn't the enantiomorph elements, what I am arguing is the theories that the Dovahkiin mantled lorkhan or talos.

No? None of those are actually physically present when any of these events happen. You don't know what you're talking about, per usual.

Fabricant Elixirs, Game is back on. Trying to Shout or even see is difficult if the Dragonborns Eyes and Tongue are tentacles for a Half Minute. Neloth used a variation of Silence on Our Dragonborn and the results were not pleasant.

Lol I fixed it :P

That really is what it is though. Its supposed to be LDB vs Nerevarine but its really being turned to Skyrim vs Morrowind imo.

No, I know what I'm talking about. But the simple fact is there is no proof the LDB actually mantled someone, just theories based on events that have been presented in previous games.

but then one wonders what there canon form is, there isn't one, the only thing these discussions can possibly be based upon are unique abilities and what they achieved (in canon), e.g slaying alduin

usually these feats differ greatly, and it's hard to make a comparison

Well, the Thu'um is like the Force, so...Dovahkiin wins in my book. But, my character is both the CoC and the Dovahkiin, so he would only be fighting the Nerevarine.

Anyway, the Nerevarine is powerful. I think he's on MK's top ten list. I think the LDB is more powerful, though.Hell, I'd bet Miraak is more powerful than the Nerevarine in lore.

Gameplay is another matter, though.

Well what we have to remember is that canon wise the LDB did not do all of the guild quests meaning they couldn't have gotten all the shouts, so they have a select few shouts.

the thu'um is certainly a large advantage, but i feel i know too little about the nerevarine to make a fair comparison, based on unique abilities, i think the dovahkiin wins out, but then their accomplishments have to be considered, which is where it gets difficult

Even a select few canonically makes him much more powerful than nerevarine. Call Dragon, Durnehviir, Bend Will, Dragon Aspect, Fus Ro Dah.

Except that it's accepted among the lore community that the main characters aren't the ones who did the guild questlines.

I don't think bend will works on everyone, I'd think the Nerevarine has the willpower to overcome it. Of course there is no evidence to back that up.

Nerevarine's power was predestiny, essentially. He was destined to defeat Dagoth Ur and probably the Tribunal too. After that? I dunno. dude's on MK's ton ten list - which means a lot to some people. I personally don't think even a mage import from Morrowind - even with all of the Morrowind spells - could defeat my current Dragonborn.

Why not? with that nasty dragon nature to dominate i'd assume that ldb couldn't help but master every guild or group they come across. And even if you want to say they didn't then all their missing would be...what? one word of breath fire and marked for death? They'd still have a full resume of devastating shouts at their disposal.

And beyond that all ldb really needs is bend will...kinda hard to fight if ldb orders you to slit your throat or fight the third guy in the protagonist fight

Sorry to quote you so many times lol

The bend will shout works on ldb, atleast for a little while, i'd imagine it would work on anyone especially if it was focused. So i don't think anyone without knowledge of the shout can just do a no sell on it
