Ok this has happened to me way too many times. I will get into a fight with some mages who are using ice spike and after the battle is done i will still have the stupid spike in me and it will not go away. I will be going through the rest of the game with a spike through my body. Is there a way to remove it?

It's a glitch. This topic has been spoken of numerous times in the UESP forums. Saving and reloading wouldn't fix it for many nor would leaving an area and coming back.

So far other than getting lucky with time the only other option is to find another ice mage and get hit with Ice Spike again. Sometimes Hagravens use this spell too.

I thought this was fixed in the 1.2 patch? It was for me anyway. Also arrows.

Yeah it hasn't happened to me since the first patch. Same problem with arrows in certain places. I ususally saved, quit game, and reloaded. It worked for me sometimes.

Here's what you do.

1. Save the file
2. Load a different file that isn't the same character
3. After you load that file, reload the file with the ice spike
4. It should be gone, if not repeat, if it's still there back out to the console main menu and restart the game.

That's basically how I got rid of the Ice Spikes/Arrows without the patch.

Here's another solution:

1. Turn into a werewolf.

Once you change back, arrows/ice spikes will disappear.

Works for me atleast.

or, along with the other options, open the command console (~), select yourself, and type sixchange twice (pressing enter after each one).

Another option is to get hit with numerous arrows or ice spikes and they should eventually fade away, I think around five to six is the limit to how many projectiles you can have in your body, this has helped me.

I had a khajit with a arrow in his nipble for almost the whole game, I thought it was awesome.

This has happened to me before but the ice was permanently stuck to my female character's private parts. It was so annoying, it looked like she was walking around with a huge ice [censored] stuck up her fanny

Does this - fDecalLifetime 9999.0000 in the ini file not have any effect on it?

And don't forget the Wumbo button.

get hit by an arrow, worked for me, had an arrow stuck in my ass and face for an hour, get hot by another arrow, bam gone. It works with ice spikes and arrows.
