Now I play Skyrim on Xbox and i'm sure there are many people who would agree with me that us Xbox gamers are short-handed when it comes to the amount of weapons and armor that are on Skyrim, and we don't have mods nor are we able to mod Skyrim willy-nilly. So it would be pretty cool if Bethesda released a DLC pack at some point containing nothing but new weapons and armor for us to get our hands on. And the idea came to me that the pack could include alternate types of weapons and armor of the existing stuff. Take dragon armor for example, there's dragonbone which is the bigger, heavier set which gives more protection, and then there's dragonscale which is the light armor which weighs less etc. So why not do the same for the rest, light armor for dwarven, orcish, steel, daedric, heavy armor for glass, elven and so on. It may sound silly having a heavy set for glass armor but rather than using moonstone with malachite, you could use ebony with malachite. So adding alternate versions of existing armor types and adding at least 2 new types of armor (open for suggestions on new armour types but i'd wanna see a return of adamantium from morrowind) would more than double the amount of armor that can crafted.
When it comes to new weapons, you could have different styles of a certain weapon type. It would be difficult to add new weapons that would have a distinct feature stats wise that differs from the original but it would be a playground for the actual cosmetic design of a weapon e.g. a dwarven sword that isn't pure dwarven metal, maybe the handle and frame could be made using dwarven metal but the actual blade itself could be made using steel. And that same style could be applied to the rest of the weapon types. Though the cosmetic design of new weapons can be tied to the design of the new armor.
And finally, I know this topic has been practically beaten to death with a dragonbone warhammer but the pack should also include horse armor with all the types of armor there are. And I say this with a valid reason, since the integration of horse combat with the Dawnguard DLC, horse armor would be alot more valuable than it was in Oblivion. Unless you have Shadowmere, any horse you use be it bought or stolen is gonna get slaughtered. ESPECIALLY if you fight giants on horse back. So horse armor could double (or more) your trusty steeds health so it wouldn't be a waste of 1000 gold. And i'm sure everyone would love to have Shadowmere outfitted with a set of dragonbone or daedric armor for that "My horse looks so badass it could kill a dragon" effect.
Plus with the addition of the new weapons and armor, there could be a couple small quests added in that would relate to you getting your hands on new metal types that are required to make the weapons/armor like adamantium or whatever new armour type is added. So who agrees with me on some of the stuff here? Or if i've sparked your imagination post some of your own ideas.
