I think in order to make the game more realistic they should make it so that when you log out your character should physically remain in game and he/she should be able to be killed or robbed and have all his/her stuff taken while they are dead.

Also if you don't log in every 8 hours your skills will start to atrophy reflecting you not eating or drinking. If you fail to log in for 48 hours your character should permanently be killed.

Also, when it is pitch black at night and you can't see if you fall off a cliff which is not far enough to kill you, you can break a leg and won't be able to move your character unless someone comes to physically help you. Failing that, you have to wait 48 hours for your character to starve or you can kill yourself (either resulting in perma-death)

I know none of these sound like any fun.... but you know realism right?
