Ideas for TESO (PSRPvPEmperor)

Post » Thu Jul 18, 2013 11:49 am

Hello everyone.

It's been a long time that I have some ideas that I would like to see in The Elder Scrolls Online. I really belive in my ideas and this is why I'm starting to spread them on the net. This message is just to share my ideas with other TESO fans, but if they can reach ZOS that would be great!

First of all, I'm gonna talk abount myself. I've been playing MMOs for a long time now (WoW, SWTOR, GW2, Aion, Rift) and in my spare time RPGs (TES:III, TES:IV, TES:V). My only problem with MMOs is that we don't have anything to evaluate the skill of the players in PVE. I've been a good Raider at World of Warcraft and I've ranked on World of Logs a few times withan average gear. I have always been under rated by the players when it was the time to find a new guild and this is why I'm gonna create my own guild this time. They are looking at achivements and gear you know. This is why I would like to have something in TESO to separate the good from the bad players. Their system of Finess is good but, for me, it's not complete.

1. PvE section
I would like to have something like a Personal Skill Rating (PSR) to evaluate a player. With this, we could recruit in the trade chat players with a number of PSR instead of a number of Item level. I would determinate the PSR with a few factors.
DPS:
-Damage done (Reel DPS VS Theorical DPS according to your gear)
-Dot Uptime
-Damage taken (that you can avoid i.e. standing in fire)
-Using of any cc (yes or no)
HEALERS:
-Healing done (Reel HPS VS Theorical HPS according to your gear)
-Hot Uptime
-Damage taken (that you can avoid i.e. standing in fire)
-Using of any cc (yes or no)
TANKS:
-Damage Dodged/Avoided
-Dot Uptime
-Damage taken (that you can avoid i.e. standing in fire)
-Using of any cc (yes or no)

I would show them like:
Damage done : 1.316 (i.e.2631DPS/2000DPS)
Dot Uptime : 0.951 (1.000 = 100% dot uptime)
Damage taken : 0.896 (1.000 = avoided everything)
CC : 1 (yes)
PSR : 2018.445 (1.316*0.951*0.896*1*1800)

With this Skill Rating, I think that we shouldn't have any problems recruiting any raiders. You can be extremely good without any gear. Gear =/= Skill.

2. PvP section
I'm gonna play an Orc to become the best tank on Tamriel, but I also want to kill every Altmers. WoW is the only game that I haven't PvPed very often. I hated that it was mostly gear based and class based. When I'm not Raiding, of course that you'll gonna see me in Cyrodiil.

Instead of doing battlegrounds, I would like to see some open world battlegrounds inside Cyrodiil. You know, a place where there is always some PvP activities. I would like to see a few labyrinths spread across Cyridiil.
- Ayleid ruins Labyrinth
- Cold Harbor Labyrinth

It would have 3 floors with many doors witch open and close to change pattern of the circular labyrinth.

-First floor:
Traps + doors + 4 elite monsters spreaded to every quarter of the room. We need to kill the 4 Monsters to unlock the Boss' gate. Then kill the boss in the middle (PSR would be important here). Once the boss killed, a secret door opens behind him to let the players get down to the second floor. Every doors upstairs open to give the other Alliances a chance.

-Second floor:
Traps + doors + mobs in cellars + 2 elite monsters. Killing an elite monster would open every cellars in the section of the other elite monster. Again, killing the two elite monsters will unlock the boss' gate. This time, the boss would be the ghost of the first boss upstairs. He would be more powerfull because he wants to take revenge on the players. Once dead, a door will open to the third floor.

-Third floor:
I see the third floor only like a huge bridge surrounded by darkness/lava and on the other side, the final boss's room. This boss would be exactly like a raid boss, but with opposite faction players lol!! This boss would give awesome loots to the winning alliance and some Alliance points to everyone inside.

This would be like a Tol Barad event and it would be open every hours. Each Alliance would have a secure starting area (camp) to wait until the next labyrinth.

3. Emperor section
I know that they are talking about an emperor and this gave me an awesome idea according to this topic. I would like to mix together the PSR and the Alliance Points. I don't want to see a player becoming an emperor just because he's a no life playing in Cyrodiil.

I would give the emperor title the the players who has the highest average PSR+Alliance Points. I think that the emperor title is a way to reward the best player with the best gift. I would also give a bonus to the 9th players under the first one, making the 10th best players looking badass. I would call them Guardians.

I would give the Emperor the access to the top of the White Gold Tower. He would find:
-An emperor armor (golden, equals to the best armor on the game and a [censored] badass looking)
-Some strong mats (Black soul gems ...)
-A book who would start a legendary quest giving the emperor a stupidly strong spell. This quest would take the help of 9 Guardians aka [censored] tough.
-An Emperor Perk to spend some points inside. They would give the emperor some buffs (i.e. Aura of the emperor (making the group around you stronger))

I would give the Guardians the access to the Emperor's armory. They would find:
-A Guardian armor (Silver, equals to the best armor on the game and a [censored] badass looking)
-A Guardian Perk to spend some points inside. They would give the guardian some improvement (i.e. they could put together the guardian perk and the one-handed perk to create a new attack that would be awesome)

4. Overall
-Personal Skill Rating = Easiest way to look for raiders and no more under rated players
-Labyrinths = 3 floors, good for PSR and Alliance Points, random doors open + traps + mobs + bosses
-Emperor + Guardians = Reward the good players. Every 30 days, when it resets, the emperor and guardians could change if the top 10 changes.

I'm just a fan who wants to reward to best players and avoid the feeling of beeing under rated. My idea of a labirynth is just an original idea too improve the PvP in Cyrodiil.

I would like if you guys could reply to this.

Gaumxs (Daggerfall Convenant - Orc - Tank - Master Armorer)

These ideas are quite nice, sadly on that note to many people would be fighting to even hold the title "Emperor" or "Guardians" long anof to enjoy the benefits you listed. Not only that but it would create a slightly unfair edge for the top 10, it would also more then likely discourage many players from really even trying to fight for the crown. The pve ideas are very nice but sadly lets face it, not many people really care about skill ratings. I really meen no ill will with this reply but its the truth. If you feel I'm wrong feel free to say so, And if I simply mis understood what you were really saying I am truthfully sorry. Plz forgive me for saying this but remember, Its not the TES were use to but rather now an online game. With it being an online game there has to be balance between the players and something to stop one from becoming more powerful then the rest or you end up with problems like on "MO" were players up and quit do to the other players having way more power then one should. Granted there needs to be some form of reward to make players strive to grow stronger and complete goals but there still has to be that seance of balance that makes other players still feel they have a fighting chance. So once more I apologize if in any way this upsets you, your ideas are great but in my opinion they just wouldn’t work. I also apologize for my bad spelling and use of grammar..

Anytime you use numbers to decide about recruiting just sounds bad to me. More a fan of run some raids with ppl and see how they do. If they need help in any areas then help them. It's the whole give a man a fish he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish he will eat for a life time. That was how I learned in all the MMOs I have played.
