Though it's good to see the heat is rising, it doesn't change anything. This won't cause an immediate impact. The people at Bethesda will probably see this poll and think, "Yes, yes, we know we know! Framerate issues, you have them! We're working on it!"
The negativity from the media such as IGN is really going to hurt Bethesda. If the patch they release actually fixes the framerate issue, Bethesda will have no choice but to work around the clock, monitoring this game.
If there is no fix for it, Todd Howard/Pete Hines will have no choice but to release a statement admitting that they took a gamble releasing the game earlier, especially on PS3.
Either way, Skyrim could very well be the game that kills Bethesda
Immediate impact isn't really what we're going for. As I've said in other posts, if it takes a couple weeks to get the game working, I'm fine with that. I just want to the see the game fixed. If the game can't be fixed, I want to see an apology issued by Bethesda. It's really important to get as loud as possible about this. I haven't seen an outcry like this among gamers ever, so I think this is excellent. Gamers are underprotected consumers in my opinion. In general, people don't think playing videogames contributes anything to society, so no one cares a whole lot when we get screwed over. If a media response forces Bethesda's hand on this, it could make developer's think twice before saying "Ah [censored] it, good enough."
