I would like to know which plane of oblivion that was(it could be shivering isles, it looks a bit like mania). And why the hell did some random guy make them a portal after killing a few rats and burning roots? It's probably not just a random guy because making portals to oblivion realms isn't something every dude can do so he probably was somehow important and I would like to know who he was. Oh and also thats not something i would call a cave, I'm sure English language has much better words for it. Most fan made videos are better than this, GJ IGN
Awesome vid!
Do you ever say anything even the tiniest bit positive? Are you even interested in this game at all?
..Now that i look hard enough, i can see it through the MMO feel..at least i think it's "Elder Scrolls" feel, could also be dirt on my screen
Look at the burned ground. Thats morrowind quality textures. And those animations. ugh.. I mean the singleplayer games had bad animations but still
Positivity is for losers and of course i'm interested in this game, the video just wasn't very good
It seems more like you are interested in a different game that exists only in your head that is not this one.
I lkied it, over on the offical site, there are some snippets from several gaming sites, that had some hands on this past week, and I see a few of them use the terms "Feels like an Elder Scrolls Game" that's cool coming from different people.
Since its a Dremora lore, not a prince, I'm guessing its just a pocket realm (of which there are an infinite number.)
Overall, everything looks really good. The stories of quests sound interesting and fun. I'm not crazy about how the dremora looks...a bit more like a demon and a bit less like dremora from other games. I also notice that the melee strikes still have no umph to them. The swords barely seem to connect and there is no recoil on either side.
Was just about to post this, that always happens!
Anyway, yeah, it looked great, I loved it when the dremora hit him he went flying back.
That's just a knock back though. I'd like to see some minor recoil on standard hits.
That's definitely true! But overall it looks good imo.
I suppose it is a minor gripe anyway. No MMO I've played has pulled off the "umph."
Overall I actually suspect combat will be much more fun than it has been in other Elder Scrolls games.
Really loving how the quests are shaping up to be. Obviously you have to expect the occasional "collect x item y times" or "kill z number of skeevers." But overall I'm liking this little story driven quests that they are putting in though.
Yeah even Skyrim and other TES games had the Fed-ex and fetch type quests. I mean in Skyrim once you entered Whiterun for the first time, you'd meet a guy who wants you to bring him his sword back, a lady that wanted you to get a Mammoth tusk for her and the blacksmith lady wanting you to deliver a sword across town to someone.
I actually don't mind those quests at all. For RP, I prefer it. I should have to perform some mundane tasks for people when I'm an unknown adventurer or a newbie in the guild/faction.
However...after I have saved the world for Alduin, I get bit annoyed when people ask me to do silly things. I SAVED THE WORLD!!! YOU WANT ME TO BE YOUR MESSENGER BOY!
Hopefully those types of quests are relegated to the early zones or else well hidden so they don't feel like fetch quests. SWTOR did a good job of hiding them IMO. Running around saving young padawans from flesh raiders or repairing damaged speeder terminals to keep everyone from falling out of the sky...that sort of thing. They may be fetch quests in reality but at least they feel important.
Not as bad as Matt Fior seems to be during some of the interviews in the past.
I hope there isn't too many of the "get 10 of these" or "kill 5 of these", in the exterior world. At least whilst leveling as it's not really needed, just playing the game you are in a world that you want to explore, I don't need to be told to kill 10 of these guys because I'm going to explore that place anyway. Experience isn't given in a traditional sense in the TES games like it has in say Final Fantasy.
