I'm relatively new to Skyrim and was curious as to some of the more seasoned players' opinions on my proposed build. It's essentially an illusion archer assassin with come point in conjuration for bound bow and its perks.
My main question is this - how important is it to get points in smithing? it seems like the armor sets from thieves/dark brotherhood may be sufficient - especially if I perk up in enchanting.
Am I crazy for not putting points into light armor? My logic is that if I'm attacking from afar and using illusion as a CC method, I don't have too much use for quick movement and stronger armor. Any reasons why I'm wrong?
Build:
Archery (14): All except Hunter's Discplines (my play style will center around the Bound Bow so the need for extra arrows seems unnecessary) and Ranger (which I may get in place of Oblivion Binding in Conjuration)
Sneak (11): All except Assassin's Blade and Shadow Warrior (since I don't intend to use the dagger method).
Illusion (10): All except Master of the Mind, Dual Casting and Master Illusion
Conjuration (6): Novice, Apprentice and Adept (to cast Bound Bow w half magika), Mystic Binding, Soul Stealer, Oblivion Binding (which I may opt to get rid of in exchange for Ranger in Archery)
Enchanting (8): Enchanter (5/5), Insightful Enchanter, Corpus Enchanter and Extra Effect
Would love your opinions. Thanks.
