Imperial Camps

Um, how are you supposed to wipe out Imperial camps after the conclusion of the Civil War storyline when the captain dude always gets back up again? Seems kinda [censored] to me.

I think all the officers of both the Imperial and Stormcloak camps are marked as essential NPCs. I'm not sure why exactly though.

Maybe It's some upcoming DLC or something I figured. Either way, I got a mod that makes them unessential.

They are infinite loot and experience for me. I would wish that instead of sitting in camps they would attack towns or Stormcloaks or something instead.

That'd be a cool idea. It'd be nice having these battalions actually do something like attack a city and try to take it back from the opposing srmy's control instead of sitting in their camps doing nothing all day.

It's not widely known, but they are not actually officers. They are technologically-advanced, hyper-realistic training dummies. When we're not around the soldiers use these dummies for practice. As a joke, they pin signs onto the dummies that read "Officer" and they laugh uproariously each time they score a hit. ;)

It's annoying but after the release of Creation Kit it hasn't bothered me anymore. Everyone on PC can now use three minutes to create a mod to remove their essential statuses if they want to kill them.
