Import Pre-V Nifs?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:29 am

Oh great and glorious Gods of CK: Has anyone figured out how to transfer NIFs from other games (Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout) into Skyrim without the need for wicked 3D skills? I tried using BSAopt on several Fallout items but they came across as items.

I just want simple stuff - MISC and STAT objects for the most part.

You have to swap out the 3d data via nifskope by attaching your own and deleting the old data in an existing nif. Its not that great for custom statics unless you are find with the existing collision, as that part of the nifs havnt been decoded far as i know.

If you have a decent handle on Blender and know how to use Nifskope (Basic stuff) then http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/4634-3d-craftworks-importing-weapons-into-skyrim/.

It was written for weapons but will also work for clutter and statics.
